Aliclean Super is an excellent aluminium brightener due to its unique formulation that includes hydrofluoric acid. Hydrofluoric acid is particularly effective in brightening aluminium because of its unique chemical properties.

Aluminium, along with many other metals, forms a layer of oxide on its surface when exposed to air. This oxide layer, while serving as a protective barrier against further oxidation, can make the aluminium appear dull and discoloured. Hydrofluoric acid is able to effectively remove this oxide layer because it reacts with aluminium oxide, converting it into aluminium fluoride and water.

By stripping away this dull, oxidised layer, the cleaner reveals the shiny, bright metal beneath. It essentially brings out the original lustre of the aluminium, making it look like new.

Moreover, our formula also contains surfactants and other cleaning agents that help lift and remove grime, dirt, and brake dust. These additional ingredients ensure that not only is the oxidised layer removed, but any surface contaminants are also effectively cleaned off. The end result is a bright, clean, and shiny aluminium surface.

How to use

Dilution

Our Aliclean Super formula is highly concentrated, allowing for dilution according to your cleaning requirements. We recommend starting with a dilution ratio of 4:1, adjusting as necessary based on the degree of wheel soiling and discolouration.

How To use

Before you begin, please ensure you have all necessary safety equipment, including gloves and safety goggles. This product contains hydrofluoric acid and should be handled with care

Prepare Your Solution: Start by preparing your cleaning solution. We recommend beginning with a dilution ratio of 4 parts water to 1 part Aliclean. Depending on the level of soiling, you may adjust the ratio. However, always test the diluted solution on an inconspicuous area of the wheel to ensure compatibility.

Rinse Your Wheels: Prior to applying the cleaner, rinse your wheels with a hose or pressure washer to remove any loose dirt or debris. This step will ensure the cleaner can better penetrate stuck-on grime.

Apply the Cleaner: Using a spray bottle or similar applicator, evenly apply the diluted solution to the wheel's surface. Be sure to cover all areas, including the hard-to-reach places.

Allow the Cleaner to Sit: Allow the cleaner to sit on the wheel for a couple of minutes, but do not let it dry. The hydrofluoric acid in the cleaner needs time to react with the aluminium oxide layer and brake dust. However, if the cleaner dries onto the wheel, it can potentially cause damage.

Scrub the Wheel: Using a soft-bristle brush or a wheel-cleaning brush, gently scrub the wheel's surface to help lift and remove stubborn grime. Always scrub gently to avoid scratching the wheel's surface.

Rinse Thoroughly: After scrubbing, thoroughly rinse the wheel with a strong stream of water. Ensure you remove all of the cleaning solution to prevent any potential discolouration or damage. The wheel should now look noticeably cleaner and brighter.
